El Archivo General de Indias nació en 1785 por deseo del rey Carlos III, con el objeto de reunir en un solo lugar los documentos referentes a las Indias que, hasta entonces, habían estado dispersos en Simancas, Cádiz y Sevilla.

Su sede es el emblemático edificio de la Casa Lonja de Mercaderes de Sevilla, del arquitecto Juan de Herrera. Sus más de 43.000 legajos, con unos ochenta millones de páginas de documentos originales, ocupan ocho kilómetros lineales de estanterías. Estos fondos son una fuente excepcional que permite profundizar en más de tres siglos de la historia de América (desde Tierra de Fuego hasta el sur de Estados Unidos) y de Asia (Islas Filipinas).

Tower of Gold:
It was built between 1220 and 1221 by the Moroccan dynasty Almohad . it was formerly attached to the walls of the city and connected to a similar tower called Torre de Plata. The Torre del Oro received this name because it was covered with a mixture of mortar, lime and pressed straw that shined under the sunlight with a golden hue. Hence its name
Gold Tower has had many uses throughout its history. Originally it was used for surveillance, after the Christian conquest it served as chapel and later became a prison. Now in its interior  we can find  the Naval Museum of Seville.

The Real Alcazar in Seville
it's a essential monument in Seville ' la Real Alcazar" also known as Alcazar. 
This complex of palaces was declared a World Heritage Site by the Cathedral and Archivo de Indias in 1987.it's  Located in the center of Seville close to santa cruz's district . it receives more than 1 million visits per  year. It is not only a place of great historical significance, but also constitutes one of the most beautiful and curious architectural ensembles in the country, mixing styles from Mudejar to the Renaissance.

• The entrance to the Real Alcázar is easily accessible by foot from the center. It is a few meters from the Cathedral and the Archivo de Indias.

• Bus: lines 5, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 30, 31, 33, 34, 53, C3 and C4 have stops nearby.

CATHEDRAL OF SEVILLE
Seville Cathedral is the world's largest, after St. Peter's in the Vatican and San Pablo in London third. It is one of the last Gothic cathedrals in Spain, already showing evidence of the Renaissance style.
The cathedral is located where was the Great Mosque in the twelfth century. It was converted into a Christian church to conquer the city Ferdinand III of Castile in 1248. From the original mosque minaret remains, now known as the Giralda and the Patio de los Naranjos.
The Giralda is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Seville declared World Heritage Site since 1987 also stands out for its location and history for its architectural structure and function within the old town. Top of the bell tower is a bronze sculpture depicting the triumph of faith called the serving Giraldillo weather vane and names the collection.
The courtyard of the orange was the old "shan" of the mosque, very reformed in successive restorations, although its original character and configured with pillars supporting pointed horseshoe arches structure persists.

the plaza of Spain was built due to the ibero-american exhibition of 1929,
 is built among other buildings the magnificent Plaza de Spain, symbol of the regionalist architecture highlighted by the successful combination of brick of its structure with tiles and various ornaments polychrome pottery.

However, the fundamental part, what we see today, began to be built after the Reconquest, in the eleventh century, lasting five centuries its construction. The predominant style is late Gothic and Plateresque, with important parts in Renaissance style. A highlight among its artistic treasures are the Flemish glass windows, the eleventh to the nineteenth century and the treasures of the cathedral.
